Summer Logrolling programs include locations in La Crosse, Holmen, Onalaska, La Crescent, Winona, and Sparta. 


La Crosse Area Logrolling Association

About: La Crosse Logrolling has produced amazing logrollers for years! Classes are fun, great for all ages, and highly recommended for new rollers. 

Classes: 

Beginner/Intermediate

Description: The beginner and intermediate class is for rollers who are either just getting started or not quite ready to take the advanced class. Beginners will learn the basics of logrolling, including how to roll by themselves and with an opponent. As students grow more advanced with their skills they will move to a different log to learn more difficult techniques. Intermediate rollers will practice skills they learned as a beginner and will be prepared to become an advanced roller.

Ages: 4+

Intermediate/Advanced

Description:  All students are prepared for tournaments through learning drills, rolling an opponent at their same skill level, and practicing the skills they learned as a beginner. All amateur competitors are encouraged to take part in this class, especially if they plan on competing in the World Championships.

Ages: 10+


Holmen Logrolling Program

About: The Holmen Program is growing and the logrolling love is being spread throughout Holmen! Classes are fun and perfect for rollers of all ages and experiences.

Classes:

Beginner/Intermediate

Description: The beginner/intermediate class is for rollers who are either just getting started or not quite ready to take the advanced class. Beginners will learn the basics of logrolling, including how to roll by themselves and with an opponent. To keep class extra-fun and exciting, these rollers will get to play a variety of games every day and take part in an in-class competition at the end of the session. 

Ages: 7+

Advanced

Description: The advanced class is offered for competitive kids who compete in several tournaments each year. All rollers in this class are prepared for their competitions by learning drills, rolling with opponents at a similar skill level, and practicing the skills they learned as a beginner. All members of the advanced class must have at least 1.5 full years of logrolling experience and must have competed in at least three tournaments. 

Ages: 7+ (With Instructor Approval)


 Onalaska Waterfront Program

Location: Great River Landing- Onalaska, Wi

Registration: Onalaska Park and Rec

Classes: 

Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced

Description:  Beginners (Ages 6+) are introduced to the basics of logrolling by leaning how to roll by themselves and with an opponent.  Intermediate and advanced rollers work on new, more advanced techniques and will continue to practice what they learned as a beginner.

Adult Beginner

Description: Any adult (18+) interested in trying logrolling is welcome to take this class.  Rollers are introduced to different techniques of logrolling and how to roll against an opponent.

Expert

Description: The Expert class is for serious competitors. Professionals and accomplished/experienced amateurs are allowed to take part in this class. In each class, rollers will do a dry-land warm-up and a warm-up on the log. Rollers will train for competition by rolling against other rollers at their skill level, practicing drills on the log, and completing written workouts on land. Students will learn in-depth strategies and high-level skills.


La Crescent Aquatic Center

Beginner/Intermediate

Description: Rollers practice rolling by themselves, learn different steps, and practice running off the end of the log. Many fun games are taught in this class! All rollers are encouraged to compete in a local amateur tournament. (https://couleeregionlogrolling.com/tournaments)

Winona Aquatic Center

Beginner/Intermediate

Sparta Aquatic Center
